Replastering becomes necessary when your pool or spa shows signs of wear. These indicators include surface roughness, discoloration, and plaster delamination. Depending on the initial finish quality and ongoing maintenance, these signs may appear as early as 8 to 10 years after installation. The replastering process involves removing the old plaster down to the gunite surface.

For most pool owners, using the local water supply is the most practical option. Trucked-in water is typically cost-prohibitive. The time required to fill your pool depends on several factors, including local water pressure, the number of hoses used, and pool size. On average, filling a pool takes between 24 and 36 hours. It's crucial to continue the filling process without interruption until the pool is completely full.
